Gilpin Hotel & Lake House is one of the finest luxury hotels in the UK based on the outskirts of Windermere in the Lake District. Set over 21 acres of blissful countryside, the Gilpin Hotel is home to 30 rooms, 22 of which have private hot tubs, and two Michelin-starred restaurants. Their sister hotel, the Lake House, is on 100 acres of private grounds with a private lake, offering top-notch spa facilities and uninterrupted tranquillity.
Our job was to attract eyes to the site and get them the traffic they deserve.

Brief
Offering 5-star quality accommodation as well as Michelin-star fine dining, Gilpin asked us to partner with them to help drive covers for leading restaurant, SOURCE, spearheaded by head chef Ollie Bridgewater.
We knew we had to find and attract new users to the site and drive them to SOURCE to maximise brand awareness, improve engagement on their site and hopefully increase reservations down the line.

Approach
Using responsive and automated ads to reach new users, we were able to split the audience into two groups; locals within an identified mile radius of the property, and a broader brand awareness-based campaign targeting those in the UK with an interest in the Lake District.

The story so far
Instant success followed, as well as creating an end-to-end reporting system previously not identified by the property. Utilising new GA4 data and a live reporting dashboard we were, and are, able to make informed decisions like never before.
The first two months have culminated in SOURCE having the most page views in a single month than it ever had before. Book now button clicks have increased by 268% during the initial partnership, and covers are up across the board, with a focus now on singular and bespoke offers to the local community as the next target. Onwards and upwards!
