About you

As a UI Designer at NEVERBLAND you spend your time translating human problems and business requirements into satisfyingly simple user interfaces. You enjoy the entire project lifecycle and are just as engaged in the early stages of strategic thinking, concept and brand design, as the implementation stages of wireframe, ui design, and interaction design.

You are a self-starter and excellent at working in isolation to drive projects onwards and upwards. You’re very happy to follow a plan where there is one, or spin one up yourself when it’s needed.

You care about your fellow team members as much as you do your end users. You enjoy debating and collaborating with your team to come up with balanced solutions that you can justify to your peers and clients.

Communication comes naturally to you, and you utilise the tools and resources available to you to present your message in the clearest way possible.

We are NEVERBLAND – an independent digital studio. We design brands, websites, and digital products for organisations, entrepreneurs, and start-ups. Our projects span green energy, lifestyle, e-commerce, mental health, and a bunch of other verticals – all with a bias towards making the world and life for humans a little better.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a digital design
• Impressive UI design skills
• Effective use of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite to translate concepts into beautiful highly crafted user interfaces
• Strong sense of the technical implications of design decisions
• Experience working with design and development teams throughout a project lifecycle; requirements gathering, scoping, planning, mobilisation, implementation, launch and beyond.
• Strong appreciation of the value of UX Design
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and to manage multiple projects across numerous clients simultaneously
• Experienced in preparing and presenting design presentations and decks
• Not afraid to say ‘No’, but know ways in which we can make it a ‘Yes’
• Ability to actively contribute to our team culture.
